Designed for hard-to-reach areas where collection for recycling isn’t possible, Tubex Nature™ Vole Guards are suitable for protecting young trees from the damage caused by voles/mice and/or the careless use of a strimmer.

Every year thousands of trees are killed by voles and mice, or because of the accidental damage caused by a strimmer.

The Tubex Nature™ Vole Guard can help address this, particularly in overgrown conditions, where voles are found.

The twin-walled, wrap around design needs no support, is quick to install and can be left in situ to biodegrade.

Provided application is done with care and focused around the base of a tree, the Tubex Nature™ Vole Guard can also protect trees from herbicide spray.

The added benefit of the coiled, wrap around design means they expand with the growth of the tree.

Tubex Nature™ is made from bio-based materials derived from sugarcane, corn & starch. It is externally tested against ISO 17556 to show soil biodegradability, and independently tested to show biodegradation on soil at ambient temperatures.

Tubex Nature™ products can be left to biodegrade in situ and will, over time, start to degrade and breakdown into water and CO2 through a microbiological process.

Benefits

  • Leave in situ to biodegrade
  • Protects from browsing voles/mice
  • Easy installation & expands with the tree

Installation (view the installation tab above for a more comprehensive installation guide)

  • Separate from nest of 4 guards, gently open and wrap around the base of the tree
  • Push the guard into the soil slightly to create an effective barrier against voles and mice damage
  • Note – no support is required if installed correctly, however should you wish to provide your young tree plant & vole guard with extra support then we recommend using a cane.
