Tubex Easywraps consist of a twin wall with a vertical split which creates a natural overlap, allowing the Easywrap to provide a microclimate conducive to better growth and survival rates. Easywraps are generally considered to be an alternative to spiral guards.
Tubex Easywraps need to be supported by bamboo canes – the plants alone will not support this method of protection. A 90cm bamboo cane will suffice.
Fitting Tubex Easywraps as part of the planting process is easy. Firstly, plant your plant in the desired location. Push a cane into the ground next to the plant, and simply slot the Easywrap over both the plant and the cane. These can be removed from plants – subject to growth – after 3-5 years, once they are established.
On exceptionally windy or exposed sites, we recommend considering Tubex Ecostarts with a square sawn stake.
You will find that the Tubex Easywraps are supplied in wraps of 2 - these need to be separated from one another prior to fitting.
