After 2015 sales performance unprecedented in its previous 25-year history, British Hardwood Tree Nursery (BHT) plans to invest, expand and promote into 2017 and the changes are already taking shape on site. Investing over £90K on the expansion in Lincolnshire, the developments include a fifth shed, additional mezzanine and refurbishment in an existing shed, new staff quarters and a dedicated commercial site entrance.

The leading specialist suppliers of UK-grown trees and hedging plants for the forestry and landscape markets plan to harvest further growth whilst maintaining their service excellence through the site developments.

Whilst promoting the business for the first time at the UK's APF forestry and arboriculture event earlier in September, Andrew Henderson, BHT's Managing Director, outlined his plans: "We've always maintained a positive outlook to business development and whilst we continue to grow in market penetration and presence, we realise that we can always improve further, and that means investment in facilities". Andrew, who successfully gained funding to support his ambitious plans for BHT earlier this year continued: As the UK's southernmost select distributor of Tubex tree protection products, we're perfectly poised to service the market for plants and planting accessories from our central hub in Lincolnshire. Now we have more space and better logistics on site to take this forward. Their strong partnership with Tubex, the market leader, continues to flourish into the forthcoming season.

It is not only in market presence, turnover and profitability where the company have enjoyed growth this year. The team has swelled with 3 new office and sales members now entering their second season. The company, who pride themselves on that personal touch on the phone - not just order-taking - are recruiting again this year to drive forward with customer service and effective sales administration.
