Tubex shelterguard mesh tubes are manufactured from recycled plastic mesh with a 12mm mesh aperture, and a clear polythene film lining that creates a micro-climatic environment for plants. Which is also added protection from wind and herbicide spray, and allows light to penetrate, acting like a greenhouse to encourage early tree growth.
Tubex shrub shelterguard mesh tubes are similar to the shelterguard mesh tubes, in that they have the same material and benefits, but offer a larger diameter; 130-160mm or 170-200mm. They are supplied in nests of 4 and will need separating from one another prior to fitting. The tubes also come with pre-fitted ties, for easy installation with square sawn tree stakes.
Tubex shelterguard mesh rolls provide a sheltered environment to encourage early growth, whilst protecting against browsing animals, particularly rabbits. The primary benefit of the shelterguard mesh roll (as opposed to the same product in tubular form) is that it can be cut to the size of shelter required on site, ideal for trees and shrubs.
Tubex shelterguard mesh cut pieces are flat packed sheets which can be formed into mesh tubes on site to protect plants from browsing animals. The flat pack nature of the guards allow for more economical logistics, along with there being a degree of flexibility to alter the diameter of the formed guard.
Tubex flat packed shelterguard mesh guards are plastic mesh tubes that have been flattened and can be easily re-formed to form a tree tube guard on site, providing logistical benefits. The pre-formed nature of the tube means that there is no requirement for joining or stapling, which is necessary when using a mesh roll or cut pieces.
