3Ha or more of land? Grants launched early for 2018

Application forms are now available for the forthcoming season's new raft of Woodland Creation Grants. Applications can be submitted from 2 January to 16 February 2018 and there is full guidance to be found on the Government's website under Countryside Stewardship.

The Forestry Commission announced the early launch of the Grants on 18 September - giving more time than previous years for preparation and completion of applications.

Grants of up to £6,800 per hectare are available supporting ground preparation, tree planting, fencing, protection and maintenance. There is also an option for a 10 year maintenance payment to help cover tree establishment.
