Tubex shelterguard mesh rolls provide a sheltered environment to encourage early growth, whilst protecting against browsing animals, particularly rabbits. The shelterguard mesh rolls are manufactured from recycled plastic mesh with a 12mm mesh aperture, and a clear polythene film lining creates a micro-climatic environment for plants.
The primary benefit of the shelterguard mesh roll (as opposed to the same product in tubular form) is that it can be cut to the size of shelter required on site, ideal for trees and shrubs.
The clear polythene film provides added protection from wind and herbicide spray, and allows light to penetrate, acting like a greenhouse to encourage early shrub growth.
Tubex shelterguard mesh rolls will photo-degrade in two stages. The polythene film lining will degrade after approximately three growing seasons, to leave a free draining mesh tube to continue to protect against animal browsing and offer support to the plant. The remaining shelterguard tube will photo-degrade after five to seven years, as the tree grows to fill the tube.
We offer Tubex shelterguard mesh roll with a height of 60cm, on a 50m roll.
